Breast Care Clinic

Referrals have started arriving for the new Breast Care Clinic at Tasman Health Care, and our first patient has been assessed and referred for breast screening. Dr Hill and Jan Wakeling, our genetic counsellor, coordinating the new clinic, is available every Wednesday to assess your family history of cancer, provide a personalised risk assessment, and discuss a personalised surveillance plan for people concerned about their risk of developing breast cancer, (and other types of cancers). The aim of this clinic is to help prevent cancer from ever developing or to detect and treat cancer at a very early stage. If you or any of your family members are concerned about developing cancer, especially breast cancer, your GP can refer you to Dr Andrew Hill for an assessment in the Breast Care Clinic.
