DR ANDREW HILL (DIRECTOR) BHB, MBChB, FRACP
Dr Andrew Hill is a Medical Oncology Specialist working publicly at Gold Coast University Hospital and privately at Tasman Health Care with accreditation at Gold Coast Private Hospital, Pindara Private Hospital and John Flynn Private Hospital. He works in a collegial peer reviewed environment, holds an academic title at Griffith University and is a Principal Investigator in multiple clinical trials at Tasman Oncology Research Ltd. Born and trained in New Zealand then relocated to the Gold Coast in early 2009 with his wife and children.
DR PAWAN BAJAJMBBS, FRACP
Dr Bajaj is a Medical Oncologist and a fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians, consulting at The Tasman Oncology Research. He is a visiting Medical Oncologist at The Gold Coast University Hospital and Tweed Heads Hospital. He is also an accredited practitioner at The Pindara Private Hospital, John Flynn Hospital and Gold Coast Private Hospital.
He completed his Specialist Medical Oncology training in Queensland across multiple hospitals including The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Mater Hospital Brisbane and Princess Alexandra Hospital in 2016. Prior to that, Dr Bajaj undertook basic physician training at The Gold Coast Hospital.
He has strong interest and expertise in treating colon, lung, genito-urinary, melanoma and breast cancer with a focus on biological, targeted treatment and immunotherapies. Dr Bajaj has been actively involved in research projects during his training program and has a strong interest in clinical trials involving solid cancers. He is co-investigator for multiple clinical trials with Tasman Oncology Research, enrolling patients in clinical trials for melanoma and other solid organ malignancies.
DR SUZANNE ALLAN MBBS, MClin.Epi. FRACP
Dr Allan has been working in medical oncology since 2007 and has been involved
with a number of hospitals including RBWH, Prince Charles, Princess Alexandra and
Gold Coast University Hospital. She has an extensive research background and has
been involved in a number of published oncology journal articles. Dr Allan is
involved with the training of Griffith University and Bond University students and is
involved in numerous clinical trials.
DR DAVID MARTIN MBBS, FRACP MRCP MA (CANTAB)
Dr Martin trained in the UK and moved to Australia in 2003 and has since been working in medical oncology at both Tweed and John Flynn Hospitals.

He is involved in the multidisciplinary meetings for breast cancer, urological cancers, gastrointestinal disease and palliative care. His main interests are in the treatment of melanoma, castrate-resistant prostate, gastrointestinal and breast cancers. He is an investigator in multiple clinical trials.

DR TENG FONG NGBSc(Hons) MBBS, MRCP(UK), FRACP, FRCPA
Dr Ng is a haematologist based at Gold Coast University Hospital and consulting at Tasman Health
Care. He holds fellowships in both Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Royal College of
Australasian Pathologists. He maintains a strong interest in the current and upcoming treatments,
diagnosis and prognostication in a broad range of haematological malignancies. In addition, he has
an evolving research portfolio, being involved in several haematological research groups, clinical
trials and research projects.

He aims to help patients seek answers to various general haematological conditions such as
abnormal blood counts, clotting, and bleeding disorders. Having the ability to speak both Mandarin
and English, Dr Ng is committed to utilising his skill set to support patients at Tasman Health Care.

DR SYLVIA LEEBPharm., MBBS, FRACP, FAChPM
Dr Lee graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery from University of Queensland in 2001.  She has practised in multiple hospitals in Queensland and south-east New South Wales, before completing her Medical Oncology training in 2014, and subsequently her Palliative Medicine training in 2017.

She has worked extensively in clinical trials during her training, and continues this work at Tasman Health Care as a Sub-Investigator in many trials.  She has a strong interest and experience in urological, lung and gastrointestinal cancers, and her goal is to provide her patients with the best holistic and individualised care possible.

DR MARK FLOWER
Dr Mark Flower is a medical oncologist with broad experience across cancer types, with a particular interest in urogenital, breast, gynaecological cancers and as melanoma. Dr Flower completed his Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland in 2012 before completing post-graduate training in medical oncology in Queensland prior to completing his fellowship year in Lismore (NSW) and being awarded Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in Medical Oncology.

Mark is passionate about shared decision making with patients and tailoring investigation and treatment to individuals. He aims to empower patients with knowledge and understanding of disease processes and contemporary treatment modalities so that patients and their families can make informed decisions through their cancer journey.

Genetic Counsellors

JAN WAKELINGBSc(Hons), MGenCoun, FHGSA Genetic Counsellor
Jan is a Genetic Counsellor, certified by the Australasian Society of Genetic Counsellors. Jan completed a Master of Science in Genetic Counselling in 2010, and has since worked as a genetic counsellor in Familial Cancer Clinics in Queensland and Western Australia. Jan has developed expertise in providing cancer risk assessments for women who have a family history of cancer, and in providing risk management advice for these women and their families. Jan has a patient focused approach to counselling and understands how difficult it can be for some women to access appropriate risk management in a timely manner. Jan is committed to providing information and support to women at an increased risk of developing cancer.
KRYSTLE GIUFFRIDABSc, MGenCoun, MHGSA Associate Genetic Counsellor
Krystle is an Associate Genetic Counsellor at Tasman Health Care. Having completed her Master of Science in Genetic Counselling in 2004, Krystle has worked in the area of genetics for nearly 10 years and has a professional interest in familial cancer. Krystle’s role is to help families understand and adjust to the medical and psychological impact of heritable conditions and explain the potential benefits, limitations and implications of genetic testing. “There is a lot of data and tests available to patients today; however, it’s about providing relevant and up-to-date information and supporting patients through the decision making process.”

Dietitian

JEAN-MARI MOUTONBNutrDiet (GUGC), APD (DA)
Jean-Mari graduated with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics from Griffith University, Gold Coast in 2014. She has worked in a variety of settings including hospital, GP clinics, Nursing homes, Cardiac centres and oncology radiation therapy centres. Jean-Mari has specialised in many areas including Bariatric Surgery, NDIS, Aged Care, intolerances and oncology.

Jean-Mari has developed a special interest in optimising nutrition before, during and after cancer treatment. She understands the complex and evolving needs of those living with cancer, through all stages of their journey.

Jean-Mari prides herself in providing compassionate patient centered care and provides practical and evidenced-based nutritional advice to help patients achieve long-term results.

She can also facilitate with obtaining oral nutritional supplements via the Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) program and various nutrition suppliers to support patients to meet their estimated nutritional requirements.
